Portraiture
What is identity when detached from its context? I usually tell stories through the places and objects that surround a figure, yet portraiture asks me to distill that story into a single face. In this series, I seek to capture the spirit of each subject in ways that evoke the texture of their inner life, allowing emotion, rather than explicit narrative, to carry the story.
