Immigration Series

This series traces my grandparents’ journey from their homeland to the United States through still life. Each painting centers on the objects they carried with them. These fragments of a former life helped shape the traditions passed down through generations. Equally revealing are the objects left behind; in other words, the identities, memories, and stories that never made the crossing.
